Guide was excellent! Lots of interesting facts and stories. Warning if the lady at the tourist center says you can walk to the tour from there, don't do it. Luckily our guide was willing to drop us back at our car. Would ride again it was so fun!

Everyone should do these tours as soon as they get to the area. We did it on our 2nd day and due to the tour found more things we were interested in visiting. LOVED the granite stop. Wish I could get a piece of MtAiry granite. Our tour guide later on would point to the various building that have the granite on their exterior. Our tour guide was friendly & so knowledgeable. OH big heads-up: they don’t accept credit cards so make sure you have cash handy.

We brought our dear friends from Illinois. The squad car tour of Mt. Airy was the highlight of the day, In large part thanks to our tour guide, "Don Nutts" who was in character right from the beginning when he handcuffed my Illinois friend's wife for stealing chickens. "Don" was not a character from the show, but he was indeed a character! On top of his personality and humor, he proved incredibly knowledgeable about the show, the characters and everything Andy Griffith. Four of us enjoyed the $50.00 per carload tour. It was well worth the reasonable price.

The quaint little shop offers souvenirs. Cindy was extremely friendly! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and you could tell he enjoys doing the tours. It was a great tour, I learned Andy Griffith facts I never knew. The teenage boys with me just loved the old car.

Lived in NC 24 years and first trip to Mt Airy and I think we did it all. But you must start your visit with the Squad Car Tour. You’ll learn more than just the Andy Griffith story. We had Carroll and he was awesome!

We did a tour today with Stormin' Norman as our guide. What a great experience! I would suggest doing this on your first day in Mt Airy. The guide gave us a lot of ideas on what to do and where to eat when in Mt Airy. The lady answering the phone was very friendly. Also, we appreciated that we were able to bring our dog on the tour. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed.

Excellent tour! We had a lot of fun doing this. We road around in a time period accurate squad car and our guide showed us sites around the older part of the city that inspired places and stories from the Andy Griffith show. We also learned a little about the city itself and got to see the largest granite mine in the world.

My husband and I did the Squad Car tour while visiting Mt Airy. Our guide was very nice and informative. It was a nice tour around town and the information about Andy Griffith was very interesting. Worth the money. This is about the only neat thing about the whole town. Replica of the courthouse and jail is next door. It was a lot of fun!

He knows every hymn in the book.But then Barney, “Aw, that's just a front! You watch him sometime when we're singin' "Leaning On The Everlasting Arms." He don't even know the words! He just moves his lips!”

We just went there on our way back from Darlington raceway it was awesome and the driver of the squad car was very knowledgeable and knew a lot of history about the town and Andy Griffith would definitely go again!
